A few images my upcoming promotion, Northbound.
We recently had the opportunity to photograph Dale Earnhardt Jr. as part of a Quaker State Ad Campaign on his ranch in North Carolina. Given that we were doing TV, Radio, Video and Stills all in the same six hours and that the Nascar Season starts in about a week you can imagine that time was really, really limited. Here is a still of what my producer calls the ‘organized chaos’ behind the scenes during the shoot. It’s amazing how many crew and how much actually goes into a simple 30 second spot, a print ad, and a web video.

I always use to laugh at those people who did the Christmas cards of there kids where everyone looks perfect and happy, thinking to myself, I am never, ever going to do that. Well thats the funny thing about time, it makes you rethink things, and adding a woman into your life will make you really rethink things. So replace the kids with dogs and well … you get the idea. From all of us at Roche Photo, and from Ray and Jack, Merry Christmas, Happy Haunakah, Merry Kwanzaa, and a Happy Yule to all.
